New Matrix Command Makes Quick Work of Variable Surfacing

A new surfacing command called matrix was introduced with TopSolid 7. The power of this command comes into play when creating complex surfaces such as for use with wire EDM or die design.

For example, when building complex die reliefs, you often need to create variable drafted surfaces and then do complicated things with fillets and transitions between the various areas of the die. This type of surfacing took a lot of time prior to the introduction of TopSolid’s matrix command.

Check out the video demonstration to learn how the new matrix command works.
